The ceremony is the final step in your journey to becoming an Australian citizen. Please note that invitations are issued by the Department of Home Affairs, not your local Council. While protocols for citizenship ceremonies vary by Council, the following details serve as a general guide.
Guest limits vary (usually 1โ3 guests)โplease check your specific invitation. Children under 16 do not need ID, but the applying parent must be present to collect the child's certificate.
The code is "Smart Casual" or Formal. National or cultural dress is highly encouraged to reflect the significance of the occasion.
